"I want something

 That's better than this.
And I'm not sure exactly what it is,
But I think that we could build it
 If we try together."

New Skin

Bmearns, KSC 12:08, 10 May 2008 (EDT)

If you've been here before, you'll notice things have changed quite a bit. I created a new skin (simply called "mysimple") that I like better than that old Monobook. This one leaves more room for articles and stuff, plus the toolbar across the top should stay at the top of the screen no matter how far down you scroll (no Javascript required, just CSS).

No more talking!

Bmearns, KSC 12:14, 1 May 2008 (EDT)

So a bunch of bastard robots and cabbages have been spamming my talk pages, so no more talking. Someday I'll add a captcha for un-loggedin users to edit talk pages. For now, you'll just have to contact me directly, or keep it to yourself.

St. Tibb's Day

Bmearns, KSC 10:26, 28 February 2008 (EST)

Tomorrow is St. Tibb's day. Aren't you psyched!

Secure HTTP and new logo

Bmearns, KSC 20:19, 1 February 2008 (EST)

Okay, so first of all, check out my new logo up in the top left. Like it? I do. Symbolizes my "worship" of the Sun and the Sea. Check out "solar wave" for some cool other renderings.

Secondly, since bringing up the new server ("frigg"), I've got SSL running, so you can access this site "securely*" at https://bmearns.net. So there's a lot to qualify in terms of the actual security this offers, so read more at Project:Secure.

Intro

I host and maintain this website to serve as a repository for all sorts of things, from technical tutorials and documentation—computers, electronics, physics, math, etc.—to my thoughts on social, political, and religious topics. Please feel free to look around and leave comments on the talk pages, or contact me. You can search using the field to the left, or start browsing different categories of pages with the links in the title box above, or use the "random page" link to the left to view a random page.

Professional Website

If you're looking for information about my professional and academic history and work, please visit brianpmearns.com. The contents of this site do not necessarily reflect my best work, and are not a reflection of my professional abilities. If this site comes up when you visit brianpmearns.com, your browser is not sending the HTTP/1.1 Host header, which means you may be using an old browser. If you are unable to fix this problem, please contact me about this, and I will create a work around for you.
